A Quickie of a Quilt
I spent an evening piecing this quick quilt top for Little Man. Since the fabric is a very large scale fabric, I just cut it into strips, and I really love how it turned out. It was a fun quilt to piece and also to quilt because of the size. But then it sat and sat on a table waiting for binding. I don't know why I procrastinated like crazy when it came to the binding. I even made the binding and didn't attach it for months. I traveled to Montana twice with my sewing machine and quilt in tow, hoping to finish it there and give it to him. But each time he napped, I was busy with other things. However, now it's ready to give to Little Man for many, many afternoon naps and bedtime snuggles.

A Christmas Stocking and Two Quilts
I popped out of bed this morning, rolled up my sleeves and got started on a Christmas stocking for Lucas. It's his first Christmas and I want him to have something special from me, his favorite grandma (LOL)!
I followed the tutorial that is on a blog, Sew Like My Mom. It is a well written tutorial and very easy to follow. I have never sewn anything other than quilts. I could not believe that I had it completed in less than two hours. I definitely enjoyed making it, and I didn't swear once! I shed no blood, sweat or tears in the process. I give this pattern/tutorial a big thumbs up!
And here is the finished stocking...
A holiday quilt for my daughter, Ms. K. Vital statistics: 59 X 65 inches, a mix of fabrics.
A fun quilt for Lucas. Vital statistics: 63 X 73 inches, a mix of fabrics including some fabric from Out of This World fabric line.

All in all, I had a very productive day. Even with making a Christmas stocking, washing quilts and wrapping packages, I managed to have time to go to the dentist for a semiannual cleaning. I cannot wait to lay my head on my pillow tonight.
Quilt on,

Goodbye October
Goodbye October...Hello November, the fastest disappearing month of the year. The Halloween quilts were finished and mailed on the 15th. However, in my rush to mail them, I forgot to take pictures.

Halloween Quilts
I love, love, love Halloween. I think it has become my favorite holiday second to Thanksgiving, so of course I enjoy making Halloween quilts.
This year's quilts were made for Grace and Lucas. I finished the quilts and mailed them and, after leaving the post office, I realized I didn't take any pictures. Oh well! Maybe I'll ask the recipients to send me a picture.
Two finished Halloween quilts makes me a very happy quilter.
Now I have to decide which quilt top to finish next. (Oh Lord, don't let me start another project before finishing at least one of the four quilts begging for my attention.). With that little prayer being said, it's time to make a decision or two about my WIPs.
Happy quilting,
Twinks
